 Beginning Tuesday, February 1st, we will be offering the
Flowered Rock Preschool Riding Club with riding instruction/horsemanship/ and farm play for children ages 3, 4, and 5. This program is fun, educational, highly active, and extremely interactive! This exciting 75 minute program will meet on Tuesdays from 12:30pm to 1:45pm. Safety is our number one priority in teaching little ones
how to ride and interact with horses. Each weekly club session will include: 1. A minimum of 20 minutes of 1 to 1 riding instruction that will leadto a mini horse show in basic riding mastery 2. Horsemanship skills. ie. feeding, grooming, ground safety, etc. 3. Farm play that teaches, such as using a stethoscope to hear a horse's heartbeat, delivering hay to the stalls with a pedal tractor, using a pack horse to deliver nuggets from a simulated gold rush, etc. 4. All kinds of horse themed activities, such as finding the age of a horse, learning coat colors, breeds, habitat, and practicing safety 5. Horsey arts and crafts, horse treat baking, and/or special children's music every week 6. The list of activities goes on and on to give the young riders new experiences each session that will teach them all about horses and farm life. Cost: $45 per 75 minute session (You must sign up for a minimum of one month.) Required equipment: sneakers or boots, riding pants or jeans, and warm gloves and jacket when weather necessitates--We will provide riding helmets for the first month. **Parents can stay and observe the program, relax in our heated/air conditioned lounge, or drop off their child for the program. We are open rain or shine as we can ride on the track in the barn. Space is very limited, so sign your child up now for the Flowered Rock Preschool Riding Club.
