ADVENTURE SEEKING KIDS

Flowered Rock Farm hosts riding adventures just for kids one weekend every month.

There are four, 3.5 hour adventures to choose from. Every riding adventure is exciting as it includes all the bells and whistles to make the experience unforgettable! Each adventure includes horse safety and riding instruction, along with the themed riding activities. Safety is our biggest concern, so all riders get the help they need to control their horses. The adventures are geared towards all levels of riders, from those who have never been on a horse to those who are very advanced. Each adventure is unique. Come join us for a thrilling adventure in a magical world of horses!

ADVENTURE 1: A JOURNEY TO THE ROYAL PALACE

Fancy, fancy, fancy! Did we say fancy? This adventure is your chance to step back in time to the Middle Ages. You are invited to journey by horseback to a royal palace where you will share a luncheon with a very special queen. You will enjoy your new, aristocratic role as a prince/princess as you design your own crown, groom and decorate your horse, ride in a procession to the castle, and try your luck as you entertain the queen with two medieval horse games, Riding the Quintain and The Rings. Your adventure includes a fancy lunch at the queen’s table, complete with finger sandwiches, tea, and only the finest of royal desserts.

Day/Time: Sunday: 2 pm - 5:30 pm,

Cost: $65 for club members, $75 for non-members (includes luncheon, crown crafts project, and prize if won)

ADVENURE 2: A CARNIVAL ON HORSEBACK

Imagine participating in an entire carnival riding on the back of a horse. You will play games, make friends, complete fun obstacle courses, and even eat cotton candy, all while riding a horse. You will have many chances to win great prizes, and so will your horse as he/she plays every horse’s favorite carnival game, Bobbing for Apples. You guessed it, the prize is definitely the apple. So stop clowning around and get to the Carnival on Horseback.

Day/Time: Saturday: 9 am - 12:30 pm

Cost: $75 for non-club members, $65 for club members (includes two slices of pizza, soda, cotton candy, prizes, and a balloon)

ADVENTURE 3: A DAY AT THE RACES

Put yourself in the saddle of 3 of America’s most popular horse races. You will ride in our version of the Kentucky Derby, the Steeplechase, and a rodeo style, barrel race. The stage is set for live, racing action with announcers, ribbons, a concession stand, a photo shoot, and racing traditions. Come and ‘run for the roses!’

Day/Time: Saturday: 2 pm - 5:30 pm

Cost: $55 for club members, $65 for non-club members (includes one concession item. Bring $1 or more for any additional snacks.)

ADVENTURE 4: GOLD RUSH IN GEORGIA

Venture back in time to the 1800’s when Georgia was the setting of America’s first, big, gold rush. Become a miner for a day, prospecting for gold nuggets. You and your partner will switch off with riding and orienteering your horses through the hills and valleys, and along the creek in pursuit of gold. Your horse will carry you and your gold nuggets back to camp in saddlebags. Then, to top off your day, for every nugget you and your partner find, you will be given a clue to locate a hidden treasure chest left over a century ago. The best part is that if you find the treasures, you get to take them home. This adventure comes complete with costumes, compasses, maps, and treasures for you, your partner, and even the horse assigned to your mining team.

Cost: $45 for club members, $55 for non-club members (includes treasures to take home)
